I was born in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 1999 with my family. Since moving to Australia I became involved in local swim clubs and did the occasional school cross country or athletes carnival. By the time I was 14, my enjoyment in pure swimming was starting to waver, so when a family friend suggested I give the local duathlon a go, I jumped at the chance. Winning the 500m run-5k bike- 500m run, whilst looking back, seems so small, actually started my love affair with the sport. The same family friend decided I had talent, so offered to take me to the iconic Nepean Triathlon for the Junior event.

After struggling my way through my first ever 8k training ride the day before, I took on the 125m-10k-1.25k course and loved every minute of it and even came away with a win. This win meant I was offered a place in the Sydney Junior Triathlon Academy run by Mick Delamotte and Peter Clifford, who for the next couple of years, along with the guidance of home coach, Richard Hobson and, until I joined the newly formed triathlon squad in the Western Region Academy of Sport with Nancy Haslop, introduced and encouraged me in the NSW Junior Series. After eventually winning the series I was upgraded to the TriNSW squad, run by Mick Maroney and John Hickey. Thanks to them, I got involved in the NSW Pro-Tour series and began my time in the Australian Junior Series.

After a year or two at this level I finally finished school and knew it was now time to decide whether to take this sport on as a profession.

In 2011, I joined the 'Wollongong Wizards', that same year I won Australian Junior Championship title, Junior European Cup wins, top 10 finishes at World Cups and Continental Cup podiums as well as beginning my overseas campaigns based out of the  Basque Country in northern Spain. I officially became a member of the NSW Institute of Sport in 2011.

2012 showed progress as a junior racer as I achieved another Junior World Championship team, podium at elite Continental Cups and achieved top 10s at World Cup racing.

2013 marked my first year as an U/23 and elite athlete, where I earnt a start in the World Triathlon Series in Stockholm, gained my first World Cup Podium in Palamos and claimed my first Elite European Conti Cup victory in Cremona.

2014 and 2015 were hampered by injury, but I was able to race my second World Series in Auckland, gain a top 5 finish at the Chendgu World Cup and finish 2nd in my first Div 1, German Bundesliga race in Kraichgau.
In 2015 also I claimed the title of 'Basque Queen' after taking out all the early season races in the local Basque region in Northern Spain.

In 2016 I came back from an another injury in March to finish 6th in my first ITU European Cup in 2 years and later in the year take the win in the Oceania Cup in Tahiti. I was also welcomed into the Taranaki Toa whanau, a New Zealand based training group supporting Maori in triathlon and encouraging a healthy lifestyle in the community.

In 2017 I started with Elotik Pro Triathlon, coached by Danielle Stefano. I returned to top level racing, competing in two WTS events on the Gold Coast and in Leeds, where I achieved a top 25 performance in the Commonwealth Games qualification race on the Gold Coast.  I also competed in multiple World Cup Events including New Plymouth, Mooloolaba and Madrid, finishing top 20 in all 3. I also achieved a Premium European Cup podium in Holten.

This season, I won the Victorian Elite State Series, was 3rd at the Elite Oceania Olympic Distance Championships, achieved three top 10's at Chengdu World Cup, Astana World Cup and Tiszi World Cup and won race 1 of the Triathlon Bundesliga Series in Kraichgau, as well as earning two Bronze medals in the Mixed Team Relay formats at the British Mixed Relay Cup and Major League Triathlon Series.
This year I'm focusing on World Cup racing, with some French Grand Prix and Bundesliga races as well as building towards WTS racing and aiming for Tokyo 2020 under the guidance of Danielle Stefano.
